Tear-a-Continent
Mrs. Brock’s Sixth Grade Social Studies students were challenged with creating a “torn” world map using only their hands, paper and glue. Students tear out the shape of each continent without drawing outlines or using scissors or other tools. Then they must properly label the continents and oceans on their map. This is a fun assignment that helps with mental mapping, size, and placement of continents.
St. John's Catholic School Track and Field Day was a roaring success thanks to parents and teachers! These are the photos shared so far!
SJS 6th grade is studying one of the 11 body systems, the Nervous System. To start the unit, the students researched the structures and functions of a neuron (nerve cell) and created a physical representation of the cell. The students used found objects and various beads to construct their own creative design. They are vibrant, beautiful, and artistically created. These projects will be displayed in our Middle School building.

wherever you look.
Sit back and relax,
all you need is a book."
