Our SJS Seventh Grade student, Paola, shows us the Church Bell Rope she made to replace the frayed and tattered one Father has been using to announce the start of Mass.
Paola presented the Bell Rope to Father George during Friday’s All School Mass. Paola explained, “The reason I wanted to make the rope is because it means so much to me and everyone else in the Hispanic community. I made it colorful because Father George wanted it to represent the Hispanic community. I chose the colors red, yellow and white because many flags have those colors. I made the flag by braiding 3 strands of each color, tying it at the top and bottom.”
