Happy Foundation Day!
Sisters of Mercy around the world celebrate today, December 12, as Foundation Day of the Mercy Community.
On that day in 1831, Catherine McAuley, Mary Ann Doyle and Elizabeth Harley took vows to become the first Sisters of Mercy and began a religious community dedicated to serving the poor, sick and uneducated.
In celebration, Sister CarolAnne Corley and Sister MaryTeresa Kelone renewed their vows during Mass this morning.
We are incredibly grateful to Sister CarolAnne and Sister Teresa for their support and dedication to our school.
