B.S. in Elementary Education, Certified in grades 1-8

Experience:

• Three years in Public School before joining St. John’s faculty in 2006

Teaching Philosophy:

I believe in student–centered learning, as in having the students discover the information for themselves through hands on activities as opposed to regurgitating information they have been told. The student then feels ownership of the information and will retain the material longer than he/she would through memorization of facts. To see the look on their faces when they finally “get it” is one of the many great rewards of my job.
